Sometimes getting the best quality part for your Porsche can be crazy expensive which is just the nature of the beast when it comes to performance cars. Luckily when it comes to quality spark plugs, this isn't the case. The best plug for your 944 isn't some crazy platinum-core multiple electrode fancy-schmancy plug that costs a fortune but the NGK basic copper-core one. NGK builds a high-level of quality into all of their plugs so they're always a great deal and even more-so when you only need their basic spark plug. Unlike the early 944s which used a Bosch Silver plug from the factory and run best with them, when Porsche tweaked the engine in 1986 (at the same time that the 944 got the updated dash instead of the previous one pinched from a 924), they went to a less intense plug than the previous Silver plug. This new plug from the factory was a Bosch however many 944 owners have found the NGK to perform as well or better on stock engines (no surprise as Bosch and NGK are the most common plugs Volkswagen Group uses in the factory in all their marques). The BPR6ES NGK plug is appropriate for all stock engines in the years listed however if you've modded your engine a colder plug may be in order (check our other auctions for a BPR7ES for a plug that is one heat range colder than stock).
