2009 - 2014 Ford F150 Turn Signal Switch Bracket Fix Kit .

The function of this Fix-Kit is to remount the turn signal switch assembly (male) into the main steering wheel circuitry housing (female) after a common issue with the plastic mounting threads cracking/breaking with extended use of the turn signal/high beams. As you use the switch it jerks the plastic housing around causing fractures. (Ford has these plastic housings made via NAFTA in Mexico.) When this happens you'll find loss in function in the switch for signaling turns, high beams, & operating the windshield wipers. Sometimes the switch will just break right off leaving you without crucial safety functions while operating a vehicle & could lead to fix-it tickets. With this kit you can remount your turn signal quickly return to driving safely & legally while saving money & time at the mechanics!

DIY FRIENDLY!! All hardware is easy & cheap to find 3mm

6 Piece Kit: Upper & Lower Brackets . 3 Locking Blocks. Switch Connector Reinforcement. Hardware & Tool Included.

Pictures show how the wedge and locking blocks uses specific areas for securing be sure before buying to disassemble & check that those areas are clear for this Kit to work correctly. There is maybe 3 Philip screws underneath your steering wheel once removed the plastic trim covers around the wheel will just unclip with a little tug. This will allow you to get a visual on the area of damage.

Assembly Order:

1. Remove Steering Wheel Cover, Determine Orientation of the mounts in correct slots, remove old & broken housing Upper Half

2. Install the Top Mount first

3. Install your switch & secure it to the top mount

4. Slide Bottom Mount into available slot over the bottom switch hole (Screw threads from inside/out)

- Top Mount uses rectangular backing to wedge & fasten securely in the open slot on top of the circuitry housing. The Top Mount replaces the top plastic over the steering wheel circuitry where your turn signal switch threads into the housing. You must remove the broken upper housing top portion that cracks so this kit can take the place of that top plastic. The top of the housing removes with little clips in various parts of the housing, wiggle the top portion around to determine the locations of the clips. Some material in this area will need to be removed with snips/razor blade. The housing is already broken so we can’t break it anymore! Compare the top mount to the area where it’ll go to judge how much material may need to be removed. If you’re having problems accessing the area while the steering wheel is on, try turning the wheel & looking for the sweet spot that gives you the most working space. The Top Mount screws in through the front of the switch into the hex nut in the back of the Mount. A drill may be required for making a hole for mounting one of the screws.

It is recommended to start with the Top Mount first as the Bottom Mount will slide into its dovetail/slot over the mounting hole of the turn signal switch. Be very careful not to push too hard or incorrectly on the switches input connectors these can be fragile if not carefully handled.

Optional: Lightly super glue the reinforcement cover for the input pegs to the other piece of plastic around the input pegs this adds strength back to your switch if it happen to crack when it disconnected from your housing circuitry. Be sure not to cover the input pegs on your switch.

- The Bottom Mount uses a slot where Ford has situated the Adjustable Foot Pedal Switch (Dovetail/Square Slot). If you have adjustable foot pedal switch you may not need the bottom mount as the switch itself reinforced the mounting area that cracks. Again, be sure to unclip/remove the upper half of the housing that breaks so this mount can fit. It screws in from the back with hex tool because the steering wheel will not give you enough clearance to effectively put the screw in from the front.

In the pictures I have a photo of the FORD part with part number to aid in information for understanding your steering assembly. There is 2 different endings to the parts number depending if you have adjustable foot pedal switch from factory this distinction is

 DA: WITH adjustable pedals

CA: w/o adjustable pedals

PART NUMBER: DL3Z-3F791-CA

- Newer kits will include a small reinforcement spacer for the male switch connector end.

The kit you will get is an updated & improved version with 3mm hardware compatibility & corresponding hex nuts. Some of the pictures show the old version with brass thread inserts, this is no longer the version currently made. Some changes may be made depending on feedback I get back.

Important Note: Check your turn signal switch for damage & internal shorts sometimes there can be breakages along the electric connector as the plastic & components are fragile.

If any questions contact me & we can exchange pictures to match up compatibility.

All feedback is greatly appreciated & encourage let me know how the kits have been working for you!
