1955 Press Photo Ann Woodward who accidentally shot her husband William

This is an original press photo. Blonde, 32-year-old Ann Woodward yesterday killed her husband, William Woodward Jr., millionaire sportsman and socialite, with a blast from a shotgun early yesterday in their spacious home here. She told police she had mistaken him for a prowler. Death was listed as "accidental pending further investigation." Mrs. Woodward today was under sedatives in a New York City hospital. Photo measures 8.25 x 10.25 inches. Photo is dated 10-31-1955.
