Felipe “La Voz” Rodríguez, uno de los cantantes más emblemáticos de la cultura popular,  fue de estos intérpretes que tenían esta gran pasión por el sentido musical y como comunicar sus canciones. La unión de Rodríguez con el Trío Los Antares surge tras la expulsión del primero de otro trío.  Al no tener un trío que lo acompañara, se crearon los Antares.  En este LP también incursiona el famoso cantante Davilita, quién fue muy cercano a Felipe y fueron participes de tantos éxitos.  De este LP se destaca el tema “Abandono” y “Mensaje a Quisqueya”.
