Hooray! Pouffes are back in style and are the latest must have home accessory. Pouffes are multi-functional around the home and can be used as a side table, an alternative to chairs around the coffee table, a great addition to kids rooms or simply to put your feet up after a hard day.
Our pouffes are made using hard wearing yet soft organic goats leather which has been processed naturally without the use of harmful chemicals such as chromium. Artisans then hand cut and stitch the pouffes together in small family workshops. The leather is then oiled to produce the lovely chestnut brown colour which also leaves the natural markings of the hide visible adding to the character and individuality of the leather. This pouffe has been made using leather piping instead of the usual embroidery making it perfect for someone who prefers a plain design.
Please note that no chemical de-oderizers are used in the processing of the leather so the pouffe may have a strong smell of leather when new.
This pouffe will be supplied unstuffed and has a zip underneath to allow for filling.
Pouffes are versatile and can be filled with a range of materials. To achieve a good solid filling you can recycle materials from around your home, old blankets, quilts, towels and clothing are all ideal. For a more lightweight beanbag type filling use polystyrene balls or foam chips.
