The Ford Fiesta MK8 ST is certainly a car that has caught the eye of many enthusiasts, so we had to get one into our own hands. After the success of our Focus RS, Civic Type R and Yaris GR direct-fitment oil cooler kits, we knew we had to keep developing. Our goal was simple; to design and manufacture user-friendly, easy-to-install kits that require either no, or very little modifications.    

The Fiesta found its temporary home in our workshop and the front end was carefully dismantled. To ensure a perfect fitment, we 3D laser scanned the Fiesta's engine bay and engine components. Once an oil cooler bracket was designed using the OEM mounting locations, we tested a 3D-printed prototype and then manufactured the final aluminium version. All of our oil cooler brackets are laser cut, precision folded and powdercoated in Black to result in a stealthy finish. Promoting direct airflow, the Setrab oil cooler was securely mounted behind the top grill, proving as the perfect location for effective cooling and performance.         

Every HEL oil cooler kit features a high-quality, reliable oil cooler manufactured by Setrab in Sweden. We have been using Setrab coolers for 10+ years, and have never had any issues with the performance or quality. Having an oil cooler fail or even burst is not something you want to experience, especially in demanding conditions and that is something we have never seen with Setrab's build quality. In the past, we've even had reports of front end collisions and the Setrab oil cooler was the only component that still worked!       

Delivered with pre-assembled braided hoses and Aluminium fittings, our comprehensive kit has everything required for a straightforward installation. Using -10 AN high-flow performance hose to deliver and return oil from the oil cooler, this kit also includes our very own oil filter sandwich plate, which is equipped with a built-in thermostat. The thermostat ensures that your engine oil flows to the external oil cooler only when the oil reaches the desired temperature (92°C / 198°F).

Around 10% of the engine oil circulates through the oil cooler at any given time, this ensures a continuous flow that prevents air pockets and safeguards against thermal shock to the system. The surplus oil is then channelled back to the engine through the internal bypass system, promoting faster warm-up, provides added safeguarding in cold weather conditions and eliminates the risk of overcooling.
