The SPARCO 600SB010L Seat Base is a performance‑grade, driver‑side seat mounting bracket designed specifically for the Ford Mustang from 1979 through 1998. Built with heavy‑gauge 3/16" steel and finished in a durable black wrinkle coat, this bracket provides a sturdy, flat platform for installing SPARCO racing seats using your vehicle’s original floor mounting points. Its direct bolt‑in design ensures a secure fit while maintaining structural rigidity for spirited driving and track applications.
While this seat base mounts directly to the vehicle floor, SPARCO recommends using a compatible track set (e.g., part #00493) to enable adjustable forward and rear seat positioning. For competition‑style side mounts, optional side mount brackets can also be attached directly to the base with drilling if desired. Installation requires separately purchased sliders and hardware kits tailored to your seat type.
