Made by Wilson Jones and described as “hand lever made of malleable steel and always in upright position, ready for next punching operation.” It was originally known as a lever-operated “paper perforator” and was designed by Alexander and Chesley Dom of the Samuel C. Tatum Company in Cincinnati, and sold around 1912. In the 1920’s Chicago’s own Wilson-Jones Company acquired the patent and continued to produce the “Marvel” until the end of the century.
