"Over the Top For You" Large Doughboy World War I Poster - 21" x 14"
This is obviously very old, not a modern reproduction.
This poster was commissioned by the U.S. government from Sidney Riesenberg in 1918. He was an American artist and illustrator known especially for his oil paintings. The poster depicts a soldier charging up a hill holding an American flag which flows dramatically above and behind him.
The heavy paper media has stood up very well. The colors are bright and while the paper has stiffened it isn't brittle. It has warped some but that should flatten out if weighted and insignificant when framed. There is a small ~1/2" tear along one edge, almost unnoticeable from the front, and one or two small scuffs in the image colors.
The actual size is 21" x 14", with the top and bottom apparently trimmed to that height for framing.
