Kupferstich von Hans Collaert d. Ä., (Jan I Collaert) (1525/30-1580) (Zuschreibung),
nach Maerten de Vos (1532-1603) [auch: Marten de Vos; Maarten], Nr. 7 von 13, aus
der Folge 'Martyrium Christi und der zwölf Apostel' (H. 804-816, M. de Vos),
zuerst um 1577-82 bei Hieronymus Cock (Witwe), hier im 3. Zustand (von 3),
nach der Änderung des Textes (Destruxit -> Oppugnans), mit der Nr. 7
unten re., (bei Visscher), um 1643.
Die vormalige Zuschreibung an Hendrick Goltzius wurde verworfen, siehe
Leesberg, New Hollstein, Goltzius, Bd. 2, (2012), S. 355;
Die ursprünglich aus 12 Bll. bestehende Folge wurde um die
Kreuzigung Christi (1) erweitert.
