This exquisite Royal Doulton collector's plate features a beautiful depiction of Angel Gabriel in vibrant multicolours. The design is part of the East Window (stained Glass) at St Jame's Church

Measuring 21 cm in diameter, this round bone china plate is a vintage piece and comes with its original packaging. No modifications have been made to the plate, and it is in mint condition. 

The plate is part of a limited edition collection of only 5000 and is no 811, and it bears the Royal Mail franchise. Comes with Certificate of authenticity

Stained glass is often used in churches to illustrate biblical stories, where the natural light illuminates the characters and scenes. This design of the Angel Gabriel can be found in the church of St James in Pangbourne, Berkshire. It was produced by Karl Parsons, a member of the Arts and Crafts Movement which sought to raise the importance of craftsmanship. There were stamps produced at the same time by Carroll Dempsey - 1992.
