Mid-Century Tile Trivet in Metal Frame - Made in Japan.  I believe to be early 1960's.  Beautiful piece of modern art which I think is intended to mimic France or Italy.  I cannot find a similar one on-line and even if the small stand is not used the tile would make a beautiful addition to a retro kitchen.  The tile is 111mm by 111mm and the top stands 25mm above the tabletop.  Please see photos and condition description for further detail.
