This VHS tape is an original and authentic Disney production that was manufactured in the United States of America for distribution to home video in the year 1998. The VHS tape is still factory sealed! This original seal is part of what gives the item such a high grade. There are some additional advertisement stickers on the front of the box, but these allow you to appreciate the nostalgia of the vintage advertisements on the front of the box when you display this item in your collection! This "Masterpiece Collection" edition of the movie has a stunning front design with a printed golden foil sea creature trim framing the art on the front of the case. The box housing the VHS tape is the classic white plastic "clamshell" design of VHS storage case that brings back so much nostalgia was a big part of VHS movie culture and distribution for many years when the clamshell case was popular, especially for youth and animated films. 

While this movie had a large printing and distribution, and had many subsequent release on both VHS and DVD, very few of them are still in their original shrink wrap - never opened or viewed. Of the items that do remain sealed, many have the boxes damaged or aged significantly. Because this item is in such good condition, and has been recognized by a third party of its near mint condition, this item is significantly more difficult to obtain compared to other copies of the VHS in circulation.
