This is a substantial Benedictine Crucifix, made in Italy. The metal crucifix has a black enamel
inlay, bearing a nicely figured figure of Christ in metal, with the inset medallion depicting the
Cross of St Benedict - Crux sacra sit mihi lux! Non Nunquam draco sit mihi dux! ("May the holy
cross be my light! May the dragon never be my overlord!") above the figure; tand he image of
St Benedict visible on the reverse of the Crucifix.
Overall, the crucifix is 3" long. It has a ring from which it can be hung on a chain or cord.
It is well made, and suitable to be hung or carried.
