The Skyjacker F840TKS is a complete 4-inch suspension lift system designed for 1980-1998 Ford F-250 and 1980-1985 Ford F-350 4WD trucks equipped with Twin Traction Beam front suspension. This comprehensive kit replaces worn factory springs with Skyjacker's Softride leaf springs front and rear, providing improved ride quality and ground clearance for larger tires up to 35x12.50.
Skyjacker Softride springs are manufactured in the USA using shot-peened American steel for increased tensile strength and durability. The tapered leaf design distributes loads evenly across the entire spring length, reducing leaf-to-leaf friction and improving suspension articulation. Bolt-style spring clips further eliminate binding that occurs with traditional cinch-style designs.
The kit includes all necessary mounting hardware including center hinge brackets, front and rear U-bolt kits, and spring bushing kit. All components are powder coated black for long-lasting corrosion protection. Note that a dropped pitman arm and extended shocks are required to complete the installation and are sold separately. Vehicles with diesel engines or heavy front-mounted accessories such as winches or snowplows should upgrade to fitted front leafs (FLF840) for proper support.
