Description
This is a choice, crisp uncirculated “One Tyiyn” note from Kyrgyzstan, officially the “Kyrgyz Republic”. Undated, it comes from the first issue of independent currency in 1993.
Kyrgyzstan, a landlocked country, is bordered by Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, Tajikistan to the south, and China to the east and southeast.
In 1936, the “Kirghiz Soviet Socialist Republic” was formed and became a constituent Republic of the Soviet Union. On August 31, 1991, Kyrgyzstan declared independence from Moscow and a Democratic Government was established.
