SOLIDARITY DAY

SEPTEMBER 19, WASHINGTON, D.C.

The Solidarity Day march took place on September 19, 1981, when 250,000 people 

marched on Washington, D.C. The march was to protest President Ronald Reagan's 

firing of 12,000 striking members of the  Professional Air Traffic Controllers 

Organization (P.A.T.C.O.). This pinback was worn by members of  Labor Unions.

The imprint is black on a mottled ivory/tan background.  Tan area are caused by "foxing".

The button has historic significance even though not in mint condition.
