CHIRASHI
Chirashi are mini-posters,
sometimes called flyers or handbills, used to advertise movies in Japan
and are available only inside the theater.
Chirashi are high quality poster prints, sometimes laser precise digital color prints, printed on high quality paper,
usually a single sheet (printed both sides), and usually a "B5" size or about 18cm x 26cm plus or minus...
but, many times, they come a little larger than that which I usually specify the size in my listing.
Sometimes, chirashi may be two sheets folded together which I also specify in my listing,
Due to the fact they are only
available from theaters while the movie is showing,
they are
collectible movie memorabilia and rise in value based on age and
scarcity.

The Japanese chirashi poster will often look quite different to the artwork available in other countries...
in many cases the design is much different and superior to the original.
Due to their handy size and low cost they are, by far, the most popular size of posters
among Japanese collectors as well as collectors of movie memorabilia worldwide.

This is the original chirashi poster from TOHO Cinemas in Japan, that was available to movie goers
when TARZAN ©1979 Buena Vista Pictures was initially screened
on November 7, 1999...it was made available inside the theater many years ago during the venue
and is now very difficult to obtain.

This beautiful chirashi is actually a mini-poster - identical to the larger official movie poster from
TARZAN...however, the price is substantially less.
