Mariposa’s signature serving sets and tableware are predominantly handcrafted by skilled artisans in Mexico. The brand is known for utilizing 100% recycled aluminum.While the vast majority of their aluminum and acrylic serveware is made in Mexico, the brand has historically sourced certain specific lines, such as stainless steel flatware and some specialty ceramics, from other global locations including France and Italy.Because the items are handmade, no two pieces are exactly alike. To verify the origin of a specific piece, you can usually check the back or bottom of the item, which typically carries the "Mariposa" stamp along with its country of origin care - wash by hand with mild dishwashing soap and dry immediately.

• Mariposa fine metal is handcrafted from 100% recycled aluminum. Slight “imperfections” and cooling marks are the hallmark of handmade goods. 

• Occasional use of a non-abrasive metal polish will revive luster. We recommend Simichrome polish which is available from Mariposa or at a local hardware store.

SERVEWARE

• All products are food-safe and will not tarnish. 

• Handwash in warm water with mild soap and towel-dry immediately. 

• Do not place in the dishwasher or microwave.

• Coat lightly with vegetable oil or spray to avoid staining. Avoid extended contact with water and acid-based foods.

• Cutting directly on the metal surface will scratch the finish.
