The Rancho RS5404 RS5000 Steering Damper is a high-performance replacement part engineered to upgrade the front steering of ’94–’99 Dodge Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks. Its twin-tube design with 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving effectively dampens wheel shimmy, bump steer, and driver fatigue—especially valuable for off-road, towing, or lifted applications. It installs easily using original equipment mounting points, and includes a protective boot to shield internal components from debris and wear.
With approximately 14.52″ collapsed length and 23.96″ extended, this stabilizer delivers about 9.44″ of travel and fits loop bushing mounts (5/8″ ID × 1‑5/16″ OAL) on both ends.
