This auction is for a Vintage Prewar Marklin HO Scale RS 800 Electric Engine With The Original Box and Wrapper. It was made in Germany Between 1938 and 1939. It is being sold as found for Parts Or Restoration. It is 100% original. The green body is intact and it is solid. Side-2 of the frame is in pieces. One small frame piece is with it and 1 small frame piece is missing. Part of the motor casting is cracked at the armature and the brush tubs are loose. One wheel is broke off and half the wheel is missing. The motor casting is swelled and the center gear does not engage with the armature gear. Because of these issues I did not try to test it. The Green body is very solid and there are no cracks or breaks. One headlight bulb socket is not attached. This engine is all die-cast metal and it measures 5-3/8" long (13.5 cm) not counting the couplers. It comes with a fairly clean and solid box but the box bottom is missing one side.
