This auction is for a Set Of 2 Vintage Prewar Marklin HO Scale 353 Mitropa Schlafwagon Restaurant Passenger Cars With Original Boxes. They were made in Germany Between 1938 and 1939. They have the early eagle emblem on the sides of each car. They are being sold as found with broken trucks that need to be replaced. The car bodies are in very good condition with some black paint missing from the frame on one side of each car. One die-cast vent stack is broken off one car but is with it and the other car has one broken and missing vent stack. The die-cast trucks have fallen apart and the one truck that is still attached to the one car is falling apart and needs to be replaced. They are 100% original. Each car measures 8-5/8" (22.5 cm) Long from bumper to bumper. They come with the original boxes. The box bottoms are discolored and one box corners have been taped with brown paper tape.
