Our replacement Blu-Ray Disc Drive Assembly is fairly easy to install, but does require some minor technical skills. It is an OEM direct replacement for the Xbox SERIES X 1882 model so it fits directly into the Xbox SERIES X enclosure. The disc drive PCB (disc drive board) and the other circuit boards are paired or "married" in ALL Xbox SERIES X consoles, so the PCB from the defective drive will need to be swapped over to this replacement drive. Some minor soldering is required to complete installation. After you have installed the PCB simply install the disc drive back into the Xbox SERIES X (like it was removed), and reassemble your console.
