The artist, who briefly worked as a fireman on the L & N RR himself, has attempted to portray the proud beauty of the General making its way through some of the beautiful late 19th Century countryside in which it operated. This was a period in American history when there was more of a balance between nature and technology. As the painting hints, the sun was soon to set on that era.

This print has been produced by the finest color lithography methods & stored in custom envelope since bought. Suitable for framing.
