Carved and decorated coconut dating from 1939.  The initials MG and 27/5/39 are written inside the lid.  Although the date is too early for WW2 it is possible that it was carved and decorated by a soldier stationed in the Pacicifc prior to WW2.  The object stands 150mm high to the top of the knob and the coconut is 110mm  in diameter.  Please see photos and condition report for further detail.
