Description: Hahoetal wooden masks are a traditional Korean mask/s worn in the Hahoe Pyolshin-gut t'al nori (Exorcism) ceremony dating back to the 12th century. 

They represent the 12 characters:

1. Chuji (winged lions)

2. Kaksi (young woman/bride)

3. Chung (the Buddhist monk)

4. Yangban (the aristocrat) - for sale

5. Ch'oraengi (the aristocrat'sservant)

6. Sonpi (the teacher/scholar)

7. Imae (the scholar's servant)

8. Punae/Bune (the concubine)

9. Paekjung (the butcher)

10. Halmi (the old woman)

11. Ttoktari (the old man)

12. Pyolch'ae (the civil servant/tax collector)
