Beautiful "Colorpicture" post card from the 1956 Rotary International Convention which was held in Philadelphia that year.

Card depicts Independence Hall in Independence Square along with the Liberty Bell and an American bald eagle landing on the Sun.

Publishing credits indicate it is A "Colorpicture" Publication. Boston 15, Mass. U. S. A." and that it was sold by The Central News Co., Philadelphia, PA. The logo and official Rotary stamp are bottom left.

Cancel stamp shows it was mailed June 6, 1956 at 10 P.M. from Philadelphia, PA 4. It cancelled a 2¢ stamp featuring a portrait of Thomas Jefferson.

The card is in excellent condition showing very little wear, square corners, sharp graphics and easy to read message. It was sent to Mrs. A. C. Richardson of Oswego, Kansas. There's an informative paragraph about the history of Independence Hall, it's architecture and historic importance.
