1964, Factory Roadster Prototype in Authentic Silver Metallic

NOTE: EXOTO HAS RETIRED THIS PIECE AT $1,995.00!!!

When GM pulled the plug on racing the Grand Sport Coupe in 1964, the three Coupes were sold off and the remaining two Roadsters were apparently scheduled to be destroyed!

Luckily, these beautiful and highly potent Roadsters survived, though they weren't seen until 1965 when one appeared at a Notre Dame University auto show. The press at the time mused, "Just think what a Grand Sport equipped with one of Chevrolet's new 427 NASCAR engines... would do." A very fortuitous statement indeed

The car is in excellent condition. the original owner never had it on display. The original boxes are included.
