The headstall is leather and the browband and and & noseband are very old ... plastic(?).
The bit is stamped “Star Steel Silver”
(August Buermann) Maker .
Sides measure 7” ring to ring.
Although this bit would be a nice addition to any collection, it is still a fully functional bit.
The Rosettes show a single horse head on a red background. They are very old , possibly Chapman, but can not see any maker mark. They are very rusted and the keeper on one of the rosettes is broken. I don’t believe the leather headstall is in useable condition, they are a bit fragile, but they would make a nice addition to a collection.
