Again, this does NOT run on common Windows, Mac, nor any other PC devices nor with common touchscreens! Attempts to access drive files with common PC operating systems may corrupt and make drives non-functional for Megatouch. Experimenting and installing the wrong drive can permanently corrupt firmware on board chips and make a machine unusable even with the correct drive. Please DON'T mix-up or try ION, Force, Maxx, or XL components in anything but the exact matching system!

No expensive security key needed to run, no security key that may die someday. Why pay more for a key/drive set? Why bother with a key at all? Why pay more for a (-14) or (-06) key that eliminates some games from your system?

NOTE! - Game editions that have a High-Resolution video setting are shipped with it turned OFF, because the manufacturer warns it can damage older CRT curved-front type monitors. But, if you have an LCD flatscreen, turning it on enables a few other games that only appear in menus when high-resolution is enabled. As far as picture quality goes, I don't see the difference either way, but my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be anyway... :)

Sure, we've seen keys last over 20 years, but we've also seen keys die in 5 years, and ALL legitimate keys are nearly 10 years old now, most much older, since Megatouch went out of business. Think about this..., whenever your key does finally die, what will be the scarcity and condition of replacement keys at that time?? I'm sure glad the PacMan, Battlezone, and Tempest machines we've had for 30+ years are all keyless!! Plus, even standard keyed name-brand SSD's and HDD's are cheaper here! The other guys have now started to lower their prices and offer other options to compete with us, which is exactly what we wanted! I genuinely hope they put us out of business with lower prices and more options, since we have plenty of other things to do. But until then, we'll be here to help Megatouch and Infinity lovers (just like us!) the best we can. :)

CF cards easier for those who like to switch editions frequently. 2011 is the last and final update year for FORCE with some great newer games, but it's missing a few favorites from earlier editions, so we recommend having both 2011 and 2007.5 to swap between anytime for the best of both worlds! (2014 is the final year for ION, but please see our other listings for pricing and availability of the last few ION editions.)

This is a replacement solid-state drive (SSD) or hard-disk drive (HDD) for repair, update, or downdate of your Megatouch Force or some ION commercial touchscreen game machines. Choose SATA, PATA/IDE, 2.5"SSD, CF, mSATA, 2.5"/3.5" HDD, or most any drive type, including that skinny little SATA SSD for "no tools" taping to the top of the old hard drive. Best of all, say goodbye to security keys for orphaned, obsolete machines no longer operated commercially. Easier/cheaper access to parts/upgrades means more machines saved and expansion of the hobby and growing renaissance of Megatouch in the home collector's market.

This kit will allow you to swap out your old HDD unit for a faster and more reliable drive of whichever type drive you prefer for a variety of different annual software editions that will all run with security key sockets empty. Newer, smaller solid-state drives are faster and more reliable, but old drives that match the original might be easiest to mount. One picture here shows a sample hanging of CF card and adapter in an EVO cabinet. FORCE systems were put in numerous different cabinets, so depending on which cabinet you have, you may have to use mounting tape, velcro tape, zip ties, etc in different ways to hang a smaller drive in place, always taking care not to let circuitry "short" against metal parts. If your machine doesn't get moved around, then the drive can even just hang or lay loose.

Power-off and simply unplug and remove the old whiney, dead or otherwise undesirable HDD.

Plug in the new drive (Includes adapter if needed.)

Power-on. (The very first time, machine may reboot itself automatically a few times to get acquainted with the new software.)
