DON'T TRUST YOUR ENGINE TO A CHEAPLY MADE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH!

Your engine oil pressure switch is probably the single most important indicator on your BMWengine. Unfortunately, poor quality switches either won't turn on when the oil pressure is too low, leaving you thinking that nothing is wrong and you keep driving until you throw a rod, or turn on when there is no oil pressure problem and you end up checking for problems all day that aren't there. This is why we only use OEM switches, in this case real German switches made by FEP, an OEM to BMW. We know when we install one that a warning light will only come when it's supposed to, and stays off when it's supposed to. There is no guessing on whether or not the switch is just acting weird. Sure you can spend a bit less for some no-name switch that may or may not work, but why risk it? Do it once - do it right!

1 x Part # 12618611273 - Oil Pressure Switch - made in Germany by FEP - range 0.20-0.50 bar - single terminal - M12x1.5 - correct original brown color (part will normally ship in a Hella box under part # 006097001 but may also ship in Rein packaging under part # ELP0140P - both manufacturers are merely repackaging FEP switches)
