Description: this is the last set we have in this pattern. Buyer will receive the Antique Staffordshire Tea Trio (2 Cups & 1 Saucer) shown in the photographs. Pattern number 2/3235, by John & William Ridgway, Cauldon Place Works, introduced circa 1822 (estimated based upon Godden’s work). This pattern features two love birds with florals & a butterfly in green with gold gilt trim. The waisted cups have molded florets, scalloped rims, and fancy handles (#655 & 656 in Berthoud’s Anthology of Teacups).
Each trio comes with a regular size teacup, a demitasse coffee cup, and one saucer. Please note this is the historically correct “trio” type because we own the entire set and it came with 12 saucers, 12 teacups, and 12 demitasse cups.
Size: saucer 5-7/8” diameter; demitasse 2-5/8” tall x 3.25” diameter rim; teacup 2.25” tall x 3.75” diameter rim
Condition Report: Used. Fine condition for age, free of chips, cracks, and excessive use-wear. The gold gilt trim is excellent with little to no rubbing loss. All three pieces will generally have only very light (if any whatsoever) use-wear. They are in great shape!
As always due to age may have slight imperfections such as minor scuffs, scratches, trim wear, and/or slight manufacturing defects. Please view all photos as they are part of this condition report.
Shipping: We ship Monday- Friday.
** ** if you are purchasing two (2) or more items, you should first purchase the items (not just waiting in your cart), then go to your purchase history and use the drop down menu, select “request total from seller”. Wait for us to send you a new invoice with combined shipping charges. The updated invoice will have an attached message from us. Check all shipping options offered because eBay will not automatically select the lowest cost option for your region.
