Lovely use of colour and really detailed batik work give this piece a special feel - Features 3 Balinese in ceremonial dress on their way to a religous festival. Created back in the early 1990's by an artist in Bali who has produced some eye catching spiritual hand batik work here. The piece is signed by Mably.

Batik Tulis is the most time consuming form of batiking where the original design is hand drawn in pencil before the wax is applied using a small copper reservoir with a little spout through which the wax is applied. This process is often repeated a number of times depending on the number
of colours required. Real hand drawn Batik is recognisable by the fact that the colours show through on both sides of the fabric.
