Linen postcard shows Black, African American men harvesting sugar cane by hand with machetes, on land owned by the United States Sugar Corporation in the Everglades of Florida. The cane is then brought to railroad cars which transport them to the sugar house in Clewiston, FL for processing. Curteich, 1947. Unused; excellent condition.
