WaveRider - Turns Brainwaves into Music!
WaveRider jr. has two low noise channels for reading signals from the
brain, heart and muscles.
Making music with your brainwaves is just one thing you can do with
WaveRider. Signals from your brain, heart, muscles and skin can be played
as music, displayed on a computer, processed and stored. WaveRider is used
in a wide variety of settings including musical composition, performance
art, and as an adjunct to relaxation.
WaveRider is a multimedia input device, a musical instrument and a
compositional tool
- Two low noise channels monitor EEG brain wave, heart rate or sEMG muscle signals
- One dedicated GSR channel reads skin resistance
In
addition to plugging in a 9volt battery (NOT INCLUDED), you would also need a DB-9
serial port cable (NOT INCLUDED) in order to hook it up to your personal computer,
various electrode sEMG lead wires (NOT INCLUDED) including a finger GSR (NOT INCLUDED) in order to
send the signals to the software, and the BioExplorer software itself **(NOT INCLUDED).
**The
BioExplorer software is where I start to become ignorant on the
details of this model. I am not sure if the software is built into the device itself
or if the BioExplorer software is a stand alone piece of software.
Because of that I have to caution on the side of it being a separate
piece of software that you would have to acquire yourself. I also do not
know the compatibility of said software and I would be making an
assumption that it may require and older model of Windows or at least
someone with intimate knowledge of the use of a VirtualBox. It is for this reason, in addition to not having the accessories in order for the unit to immediately function as soon as it is delivered that I will be selling this item as a non functioning medical collector's item used for spare parts.
