We've made that project easier by providing you with a choice of 4 widths and 5 colors of top grain cowhide leather straps or handles. The rivet or Chicago screw holes are punched for you....1 inch from the end with the second hole 2  inches from the end....the best distances to prevent the ends from curling up. Straps cut from 9-10 oz. veg tanned hides that are finished and made specifically to be used as bag straps with smooth finished backs, non-transferable dyes and a satin finish.
