Celluloid Guitar Pickguard Gibson J-45J-/50 1960s batwing style red-brown tortoise

Nothing quite matches the look of celluloid (cellulose acetate). It will add a vintage touch to your guitar. This is the 'batwing' style fitted to vintage Gibson J45s and J50s in the 1960s. 

This is slightly different to earlier 1950s originals and some recent custom models. Please check our template before ordering. We can supply other variations to order.

Approx 1mm thick with a nice rounded radius to the edge. When the brown paper is removed from the the adhesive film backing the lighter parts will show the grain and finish of your guitar's top.

Each celluloid pickguard is individually made. Like natural shell, no two have exactly the same pattern. It takes a beautiful polish and the edge is bevelled and buffed to a high gloss. Adhesive backed with 3M 467 adhesive film ready for fitting.
