You are purchasing a brand-new XTD Stage 1 performance clutch kit for selected 2005–2018 Subaru, Saab 9-2X Aero and related turbo applications listed in the fitment section below. The XTD Stage 1 system combines an XTD high-clamp, heat-treated ductile-iron pressure plate with a full-face steel-backed organic sprung-hub clutch disc. The organic friction material provides progressive engagement and dependable street performance, making this kit an excellent choice for daily-driven vehicles, spirited street use and mildly modified applications.

The clutch disc uses a heavy-duty six-spring center section to help absorb drivetrain shock, reduce harshness and promote smoother takeoff. Its full-face friction surface offers quiet, predictable engagement while improving durability and torque transfer compared with a worn or standard replacement clutch.

This complete kit includes an XTD high-clamp pressure plate, XTD full-face organic sprung-hub disc, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, alignment tool, XTD installation guide and XTD logo window decal. Each component is selected to work together as a matched system for dependable installation and consistent performance.

The XTD pressure plate is manufactured from heat-treated ductile iron, which provides greater strength and improved resistance to heat-related distortion compared with a standard cast-iron pressure plate. It delivers approximately 10% more clamping pressure than a stock-style unit and is designed to hold approximately 40%–50% more horsepower and torque than the original clutch system, depending on the vehicle and operating conditions.

This Stage 1 clutch is rated at approximately 295 ft-lbs of torque and up to approximately 390 horsepower. Actual holding capacity may vary based on engine output, vehicle condition, tire grip, driving style, installation quality, flywheel condition and break-in procedure.

Because this is a full-face organic street clutch, engagement remains much smoother and more daily-driver friendly than a puck-style ceramic racing clutch. Pedal feel may be slightly firmer than stock, but the kit is designed to remain practical for normal commuting and regular street use.

For maximum performance and service life, the clutch must receive a proper 500-mile break-in period with normal stop-and-go driving and smooth engagement. Avoid racing, hard launches, towing, dyno pulls, excessive slipping and full-throttle acceleration during break-in.
