This item is a component kit for use in the bipolar to MOSFET conversion of CB & 10 meter radios which is a comparable substitute for the EKL/Palomar EN369FN companion part.  This is the parts needed for conversion of single and dual final radios.  This kit will usually also work for use with the IRF520, IRF520N and FQP13N10 MOSFETs in most of those above radios.  It differs slightly from the original companion part as it has a 20K ohm resistor instead of a 230K ohm resistor (see photos).  We also sell another kit (Version A) with a 226K ohm resistor in place of the original 230K ohm resistor.  If you don't know what your doing with these parts please do not order them.  Failure to know what your doing will likely result in undesirable performance or damage to your radio.  When used properly these parts will usually result in very favorable increased performance of your radio when used along with a MOSFET.  We only use name brand quality parts in our kits from Kemet, Yageo, Dale, KOA/Spear, Ohmite and Vishay.  Most resistors are 1% tolerances.  Assembly instructions are included with each kit.  Once assembled it will be polarity sensitive just like the EN369FN companion part and you MUST install it in the correct direction depending on your radio!  Do not use these with a factory bi-polar transistor such as a 2SC1969!  Each kit also comes with a new mica TO-220 insulator and plastic bushing for the MOSFET mounting screw.  You will need to supply new transistor heatsink compound for installation of your MOSFET.  Be sure to remove old heatsink compound and clean the mounting area good.  Apply new heat sink compound before installing your new MOSFET.  We also sell all the above mentioned MOSFETs in our ebay store.  To save YOU money on shipping move multiple items to your cart and request a total before you pay!
