Michael Deregus

Dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of one of the most prominent artists of the twentieth century, Mikhail Deregus (1904-1997). The painter and graphic artist, educator and cultural activist - Michael Gordeevich Deregus by adopting a generalized national tradition, masterfully combined it with the achievements of world culture. Widely known for his paintings of Cossack theme, namely, a series of "Khmelnytsky", "Pereyaslav Rada" triptych "Ballad of Cossack Golota" and others. Illustrations to the I.Kotlyarevskogo, Shevchenko, Lesia Ukrainka, Nikolai Gogol, N. Nekrasov became a significant achievement of graphic art.
