****Welcome to our listing, thanks very much for looking!

This set was recorded in 1959 for Roulette Records by Bennett and the Basie Orchestra in return for the Count's appearance on the studio-recorded "live" IN PERSON! While not as well produced as any of the Columbia Tony Bennett sessions, CHICAGO features the singer and band in typically game form on such chestnuts as "Anything Goes,", "Jeepers Creepers," and "I Guess I'll Have To Change My Plans." An added bonus is the rich arrangement of Lerner and Lowe's "I've Grown Accustomed To Her Face" from MY FAIR LADY. Basie's "New Testament" band of the '50s, with arrangers such as Neal Hefti and Frank Foster, owed nothing at all to past glories.
