WhatTwoLeft is a dark post-punk duo hailing from upstate New York. The influences of Lebanon Hanover, early The Cure and Joy Division can be heard throughout their songs. Brandon writes and records the tunes while Tara puts pen to paper in her deeply personal lyrics. Although they have been both creating throughout their lives, WhatTwoLeft did not start as a project until late 2015. Their first self-titled demo was followed up by a digital single (Reveries Sustenance) and subsequent album, Hiraeth. They then assembled the vinyl compilation LP ‘Shared Psychosis’, before completing their so far latest album ‘Children of the Sun shall Wither’. The title of this album is a reference to the pathetic, insecure fascists who still roam this planet. Humanity cannot move forward until we look beyond borders and to the stars. WhatTwoLeft is an existential purge of the lunacy of living, songs borne of pain. The duo of Tara and Brandon Kane exorcise their demons by naming them in song. Both the E.P. and “Children of the Sun shall Wither” were recorded in 2016 in Ithaca, NY. Fu*k all extremism. Dogma is the source of our suffering.
