LOXEAL LIQUID TEFLON 18-10 THREAD SEALERS - ANAEROBIC ADHESIVE
code AC261 - GLUE FOR PTFE FITTINGS 55gr
Description
Anaerobic adhesive for sealing threaded metal joints. Suitable for sealing gas, LPG, compressed air, oil and fuel, industrial fluids, CFCs, drinking water and various chemical substances. The low friction coefficient ensures easy assembly, the thixotropic effect prevents the sealant from leaking during hardening. Replaces PTFE and hemp tapes. The hardened product forms an elastic film. It resists shocks and vibrations, thermal changes and maintains its sealing properties in the temperature range from –55 to + 150°C.
It guarantees ease of disassembly even after years.
Approvals for natural gas and LPG
Europe: approved according to EN 751-1 by DIN-DVGW nr. NG5146AR0574 –20° C to +150° C up to 2" diameter.
Australia: approved by AGA nr.5047 up to 10 bar and 2" diameter.
Drinking water approval
Germany: TZW-DVGW approved for cold and hot water (85°C).

Polymerization characteristics
The speed of polymerization depends on the gap between the parts, the type of material and the temperature. Functional strength is usually reached after 1-3 hours. Final strength requires a time of 24 - 36 hours. In the case of passive surfaces and/or low ambient temperatures, instant polymerization can be achieved using Loxeal Activator 11, however its use may reduce final strength.
Properties of the polymerized product
Galvanized bolts M 10x20 – quality 8.8, nut 0.8 from 25°C:
Handling time: 20 - 40 minutes
Functional curing time: 1 - 3 hours
Final hardening time: 5 - 10 hours
Initial torque (ISO 10964): 6 - 11 Nm
Residual torque (ISO 10964): 2 - 5 Nm
Creep resistance (ISO 10123): 4 - 6 Nm
Tensile strength (ASTM D2095): 3 - 5 N/mm2
