If you currently don't have a key, it's very hard to tell which groove pattern your ignition or lock uses.  

”Aluminum keys" may be oxidized and have a crack on the key head.

Places to look for your bike's key code:
  1. On your original OEM key.
  2. Stamped on the ignition switch, fork lock, or seat lock.
