©NCSX Being
lazy at any other time is normally okay but when protagonist Pokkle
misses his own ceremony into adulthood, he's branded a slacker for the
rest of his existence. That is, unless he can raise enough money to hold
another "boy to man" celebration to make up for his transgression. A
brief stay at prison also convinces Pokkle that it's time to grow up.
Seizing
on the opportunity to redeem himself, Pokkle runs around Nanashi Island
with the help of his loyal girlfriend Kyappie in the aim of earning
5,000,000 mane, which is the local currency. A cast of characters in the
game with their own aspirations and routines may help you in your task
if you cajole, help and placate them with odd jobs and other menial acts
of servitude.
If
Pokkle works too hard and goes without sleep, spirits will visit him
and haunt his waking hours until he succumbs to the sandman. Working
hard is good however and each task that Pokkle successfully completes
will bring him one step closer to adulthood which means less sleep is
required. Another enemy
that Pokkle contends with in the game is hunger. Without food, Pokkle
will starve and lose his vitality which of course, will lead to a
premature endgame.
