Honda made two different versions of the "H" code series keys. In other words, any given H code, for example H1012, came in a single groove pattern and a double groove pattern, so even though you choose the correct key code that your lock uses, that doesn't mean the key will work in your lock. It must also be the correct groove pattern, or the key won't slide in the hole.
If you currently don't have a key, it's very hard to tell which groove pattern your ignition or lock uses.
Key may need cleaned, been in storage for many years
Places to look for your bike's key code:
- On your original key.
- Stamped on the face of your ignition switch or lock.
For various small displacement Honda motorcycles from 1962 to1974. Honda models that may have used an H series key.
