The Oak Cubes and Chips are made from

- European White Oak also known as French Oak - Same as we make our barrels

- Dark Oak     -   Especially selected from various parts of the trees where the timber is darker in colour with higher contents of tannins and has proven to produce more colour and less vanilla taste. We have found that the dark oak If not toasted is really useful when we don't want to change the taste of a certain drink but only the colour.

Oak cubes allow homebrewers to impart terrific flavours and aroma to wines, beers, ciders… aged in glass carboys, plastic buckets, or steel tanks. The cubes can be used in wooden barrels as well to speeding up the aging process. They are much easier to be separate from the barrel than the chips.

The Oak Cubes  and Oak Chips are toasted at the same way we toast our barrels.

We recommend 3 oz Oak Cubes per 5 gallons.

The Cubes can be added during fermentation or aging. We suggest to leave your homebrew alcohol in contact with the cubes for a minimum of two to three months.

Oak cubes, chunks and can give your homebrew wine or beer different flavours- from vanilla to whiskey

Oak Chips - 50gr is enough for up to 50Litres of Wine or up to 20L of spirits

Heavy Toast (Charred) brings pronounced caramelized, carbonized and toast flavours very quickly - it doesn't need much contact time.

Medium Toast has less tannins but more bouquet, so will impart more aroma than flavor.

It has a warm, sweet character with strong vanilla overtones.

Light Toast
French oak, coconut and fruit flavours.
