He made his NHL debut on April 2, 2021 when the Coyotes played at Anaheim and he got his first goal in a 4-2 Arizona win. Buyer also gets a locker room nameplate that the Coyotes made for Pederson and the other campers. It's a Reebok size 58 jersey and shows moderate use. The Coyotes equipment staff sewed names on the back of the jerseys for the rookie campers, who were the last to wear Reebok practice jerseys before the team switched to another manufacturer when preseason training camp opens. Everything is sewn on this jersey. Pederson participated in the 2018 and 2019 Coyotes development camps and again wore #93 but in Adidas jerseys.
