Saffiano leather originates from one of Italy's most famous tanneries & is a signature & patent of the fashion house Prada.

The name comes from the cross hatch print that was pressed into the wax that coats the vegetable tanned leather base. Today this iconic print is used on a wide range of leathers with many factories in different countries using the pattern in different ways.
