Lavender Butter is actually an extract of whole Lavendula angustifolia (lavender) flowers using a hea butter mix which produces a smooth, velvety "Butter" at room temperature that smells of fresh growing lavender. With this product you can not only get the clinically proven power of lavender, that produces soothing, calming, and near sedative effects, but you will also get it in a luxurious easy to use butter base that will add amazing skin feel to any emulsion, or anhydrous formulation. it is completely oil miscible and containers no preservatives or coloring agents.
Uses
Lavender butter is renowned for its calming scent and numerous beneficial skin properties. This butter blend has an amazing scent and a creamy luxurious color and texture, making it ideal for massage butters or body balms. Though it can be used as is, it is also a great addition to soaps and any emulsion formulation such as creams and lotions.
Recommended Usage:
• Lotions & Creams: 2 – 20 %
• Balms: 5 – 100 %
• Hair Conditioners: 1 - 10 %
• Soap Bars: 5 - 20 %
When adding butters to creams and lotions, it might be necessary to gently warm them until the texture is soft enough to be incorporated into the final product. Using a hand blender, create a vortex with your cream or lotion and drizzle your melted butter to fully incorporate. For addition in soaps, the general rule of thumb is 1 tablespoon per pound. As with most raw materials, results may vary, so we strongly recommend small, lab scale batches prior to any commercial manufacturing
